To keep your journey entirely flexible, my daily guiding fee does not cover external costs.

  1. Village Visits: Authentic experiences in local Himachali villages may involve a small contribution to the host families who graciously prepare traditional snacks and arrangements for us. This will be discussed beforehand based on your group size. This is completely optional and only applicable if you specifically choose to include this dedicated experience in your itinerary.
  2. Entry Tickets: Small entrance fees to specific cultural sites (such as the Norbulingka Institute) are not included, allowing you to easily pay for these directly as we explore.

One-Day Plan: The Spiritual Heart of McLeodganj

A full day of mindfulness, sacred walks, and Tibetan culture.
1. Morning Meditation at Tushita

We begin our morning at the serene Tushita Meditation Centre. From Monday to Saturday (9 AM to 10 AM), they host a beautiful, free drop-in meditation session. We will arrive a little early to ensure we secure a meditation cushion, as this peaceful gathering is quite popular among seekers.

2. The Sacred Kora & HH Dalai Lama Temple

After centering ourselves, we take a mindful walk from the Market, Stupa, Temple to the sacred Kora path. Embracing the surrounding silence and the gentle chants of the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra, we will make our way to the peaceful residence and main temple of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

3. The Nunnery & Local Culture

From the temple, we will enjoy a gentle, scenic walk down to the local Buddhist Nunnery. To conclude our day’s journey, we will explore the vibrant Free Market, allowing you to soak in the authentic Tibetan culture and local community atmosphere at your own pace.

Two-Day Plan: Temples, Nature & Village Trails

Includes Day 1 Itinerary from above for first day + A beautiful second day exploring traditional Himachali shepherd villages.
1. The Gaddi Village of Naddi

We begin our second day in Naddi, a peaceful traditional Gaddi (shepherd) village. Here, you will get a glimpse of authentic Himachali culture and take in sweeping, majestic views of the Dhauladhar mountain range before we begin our scenic walk.

2. Sacred Stupas & Cedar Forests

From Naddi, we walk through beautiful, quiet forest trails making our way toward Dharamkot. Along this path, we will pause at a serene meditation stupa and a vibrant prayer flag point, offering the perfect space for quiet reflection in nature.

3. Flexible Afternoon Routes to Bhagsu

Because this is your journey, the afternoon route is flexible. We can take a direct, peaceful descent into the charming village of Bhagsu, or opt for an extended, beautiful trail up to Galu first, before heading down through Bhagsu and concluding at the bustling McLeodganj market.

Three-Day Plan: Ancient Temples & Kangra Heritage

1. Masroor Rock Cut Temples

We venture into the lush Kangra Valley to witness the magnificent Masroor Rock Cut Temples. These 8th-century monolithic rock temples, beautifully preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (A.S.I.), are an architectural marvel that offers a profound glimpse into ancient spiritual devotion.

2. The Historic Kangra Fort

Next, we explore the majestic Kangra Fort, one of the oldest and most historic forts in the Himalayas. Walking through its massive stone gates, ancient courtyards, and ruined temple structures provides a powerful connection to the region’s royal past and enduring resilience.

Gyuto Tantric Monastery

Four-Day Plan: The Ultimate Cultural & Monastery Loop

Includes Day 1, 2 & 3 Itineraries + A full day of expansive sightseeing across the Dharamshala valley.
1. Historic Church & Himalayan Views

We start the morning taking in breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. Our early route includes the historic, cedar-surrounded St. John in the Wilderness church, along with peaceful stops in the Bhagsu area and another opportunity to visit the main Dalai Lama Temple.

2. Norbulingka & Gyuto Monastery

We then drive down into the lush valley to explore the Norbulingka Institute, a stunning and peaceful sanctuary dedicated to preserving traditional Tibetan arts and crafts. Next, we visit the magnificent Gyuto Tantric Monastery, known for its deep spiritual resonance and striking architecture.

3. Tea Gardens & Local Highlights

We wrap up the afternoon with a peaceful stroll through the calming green landscapes of the Dharamshala tea gardens. Additionally, if you are a sports enthusiast, we can easily include an optional visit to the famous HPCA Cricket Stadium, renowned as one of the most picturesque stadiums in the entire world.

Triund Trek, Trail to Triund Hill, Dharamshala

Five-Day Plan: The Triund Mountain Trek

Includes Day 1, 2, 3 & 4 Itineraries + A breathtaking, full-day trek into the high Himalayas.
1. Ascending the Himalayan Trails

We dedicate this day to the famous Triund trek. Starting our journey through beautiful, ancient forests of oak, deodar, and rhododendron, we make a steady, invigorating ascent. The trail offers a perfect blend of physical movement and a deep, meditative connection with raw nature.

2. The Majestic Triund Ridge

Upon reaching the Triund ridge, you are rewarded with unparalleled, up-close views of the towering, snow-capped Dhauladhar mountains on one side and the expansive Kangra Valley on the other. It is a profound, quiet space perfect for reflection and absorbing the sheer scale of the Himalayas.

3. Mindful Descent & Completion

After spending ample time resting and taking in the mountain energy at the top, we begin our mindful, scenic descent back to McLeodganj. We conclude this incredible five-day journey leaving you with a deep sense of accomplishment, inner peace, and lifelong memories of the sacred mountains.
